I am Lakia Parker, director and owner of "Parker Place Preschool". The children all call me “Ms. Kia”. Welcome to the place of exploration and wonder for your child, a world of creative learning and personal development. Great and exciting things are happening here, and I invite you to experience them all.

 

As an Educator and a Mother myself, I am well aware of how much every parent wants a caring, loving, nurturing environment for their child, especially when it comes to childcare. Parker Place takes pride in our philosophy that we stand in place to provide the nourishment that children need to grow.

 

I have worked in this field, as a Head Teacher for the past 10 years. Along with my certification in Child Development, my Montessori teaching experience, I have also had extensive training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy. Realizing how the world of childcare and education is constantly evolving, I am always learning something new to better myself and ultimately to provide better educational services to the children in my care.

 

I am excited about both the challenges and rewards of being such a critical part of your child’s future, and I also look forward to working with you on establishing a positive relationship. Trust, respect, and understanding are vital parts of this relationship; when parents and caregivers are on the same page, everyone benefits – especially the children. I am a strong proponent of an open-door policy, and I invite you to talk to me about your concerns/desires for your child when time is permitted.
